Dick Brewer's legendary shaping prowess has teamed up with Hydro Epic's AeroFlex™ surfboard technology to revolutionize surfboard performance and durability. The partnership is a powerful combination of aerospace technology and materials with traditional shaping artistry. The team will launch a line of three surfboards in September that include a 6'2" Pro 1 Short, a 6'6" Pro 2 Semi and a 7'8" P5 Hybrid board that is Brewer's biggest seller, all manufactured from Brewer's shape with advanced composite materials.

"Matching new methods of surfboard production with the artistry of hand-shaping offers the best of both worlds to surfers - lightweight, durable, high performance boards shaped by a master," said Mark Geist, CEO of Hydro Epic. Hydro Epic creates surfboards utilizing materials and manufacturing concepts taken from the marine and airplane industries to create high performance surfboards that are very lightweight and durable. The boards will be showcased at the Action Sports Retailer (ASR) trade show in San Diego, CA, September 10-12, 2004.
