The 2004 Converse Hawaiian Open is taking place at Queens Beach in Waikiki, HI August 17-21. Hydro Epic will be on the beach near the grandstand with surfboards, t-shirts, stickers and more. This event is a part of the Duke Kahanamoku birthday celebration being organized by the Duke Foundation.

A slew of great surfers will compete, including Colin McPhillips, Bonga Perkins, Dino Miranda, Joel Tudor, Cassia Meador, Mary Osborne and many more. The event is being hosted by Longboarder Magazine and promises to be a great time for surfers and spectators alike.
